Hexagonal mesh is generally woven from metal wires (such as galvanized steel wire, Galvan steel wire, etc.). During the weaving process, the metal wires are intertwined to form a tight mesh structure. This weaving method ensures the integration and flexibility of the net, allowing it to be properly bent and adjusted according to the shape and requirements of the installation sites.
The raw material is mainly low-carbon steel.
According to different surface treatments, hexagonal metal wire mesh can be divided into two types: galvanized metal wire and PVC-coated metal wire. Galvanized hexagonal wire mesh is available in wire diameters from 0.3mm to 2.0mm, and PVC coated hexagonal wire mesh is available in wire diameters from 0.8mm to 2.6mm. Hexagonal mesh has good flexibility and corrosion resistance and is widely used as gabion mesh to protect slopes.
The hexagonal wire mesh can be divided into chicken wire and slope protection wire (or gabion mesh). The former has a smaller mesh opening.
